Hussein’s writings on Iraq, have appeared in international publications including the Morning Star, The Palestinte Chronicle, the London Progressive Journal, the Egyptian weekly Al-Ahram and The Eurasia Review.
Hussein has spoken about the situation inside of Iraq, with a particular focus on the mental health and social impacts of conflict, to news providers like the BBC, Sputnik News and Russia Today.
Other area's of involvement, have included writing the international appeal for the Gaza Mental Health Hospital, which was published by several major outlets in the USA. Hussein supports the international charity Aid to the Church in Need and advocates for the AMAR Foundation.
